Make sure to pay attention to Tanya's Stats. Charm determines how easily Tanya can sway others and cause them to do her bidding through seduction or other means. Stomach shows how hungry she is. If her meter gets too low, the quest may be railroaded, or Tanya doing something opposite of what the majority of people voted for. Vigor is vital for Tanya to do certain tasks that may require more effort than normal. Vigor can be seen as a combination of energy and mood.
There are also Current Sounds to keep in mind. Tanya is a rabbit with large ears! This means she uses her hearing almost constantly to remain aware of her surroundings. Current sounds can give a hint as to whether you should be careful in a specific situation or can do activities freely.

Someone dropped those things for one reason or another, from the net I would hazard a guess to say they were trying to catch fish as well. Sloshing water and a whirring sound, it isn't too much of a stretch to assume there is some predator of some description stalking through the waters, and this belt and net come from someone who tried to fish and instead got eaten by some water monster.
Go after the cheetahs, even if those objects were dropped for some reason completely unrelated to the water, we don't want to loose them. Those cats are fast enough as it is.

Snack time is over. Tanya has a mission. Besides, the swamp may present some additional snacking opportunities. Perhaps she can turn the tables on some unlucky swamp critter--suck down a boa that mistakes her for prey. It probably wouldn't even hurt on the way down.
That net could be useful if it's small enough to be draped over a shoulder without touching the ground, otherwise it'll just make noise and slow you down.
