Willow is a Tree Spirit that uses his abilities to jump back and forth between the living world and the underworld holding the souls of the dead beneath the masks on his tails. The dead can move to a facial mask and speak to loved ones but only if that truly deserve to say goodbye. Some masks are always occupied because he knows they will be reincarnated and he believes they are too evil and shouldn't be.The evil jerks can speak occasionally but it's pretty rare they have something to say worth hearing.
Willow jumps to the underworld by jumping into the shadows of trees that grow over the Graves of the innocent (so children). The tree dies when he jumps out because he's jumping from the underworld and the tree is cleansing him of the decay of death that would solidify and create a stone that could be used in a portal letting OTHER things out of the underworld. Things like demons or ghosts or a fog of plague.

Willow is labeled Herm because while his Spirit is Male if he decides to allow a female soul to come to the forefront his body will become female.
