SO I GUESS now I have to start watermarking any WIP pieces I decided to post. We've come full circle from style copying, tracing, 'referencing', 'taking inspiration from', 'using my characters as roleplay characters', all the way to posting my art and outright saying they were the ones who drew it.
Some folks sure know how to keep it original.

If someone knows what he's /she's doing, watermarks can be circumvented quite easily.
though, it's bad enough that you have to resort to such countermeasures.
there will be always people who want to go the easy way and instead of learning how to draw themselves or at least contacting the artist ans ask for permission, they just take
the art and do whatever they want with it, without any regard or respect to the person
who put time and effort into their work.
i guess that's the way of the internet. If you can download it, you can own it :/

srs tho nice job and shitty on those people taking your art. I've had the same issues lately but probably not to your extent D:
I don't understand what people get out of it either like... I can understand a kid tracing your art, then saying they drew it cause "technically" they did so they can be proud of it like "look what I traced" but outright stealing and posting... they literally get nothing out of it. all the compliments they might get aren't even theirs because it's diercted at the art they literally just FOUND.
