These are some of the preliminary sketches I drew at the beginning of the year when I was starting on "Kat-Venture and the Mountain of Death" which has now been completed and will be going on sale in September. In this comic Magnus the meerkat treasure hunter returns to find a treasure in the possession of a savage death cult. These sketches served as model sheets for the characters I drew over the course of the story.

On the left are the diminutive main villain and his wolf bodyguard as well as two of the protagonists. On the right, the original designs for the villain's henchmen. I was inspired by the Redwall cartoon series when I did these designs and based some of the outfits off them. This book was a long project, but was a lot of fun to work on and when it is released I hope you will enjoy it too :)
