Really I'd say it was overhyped, but really that's the fanbase's fault. I think people kinda forgot it was being made by a 15-man indie crew
Personally, I found out how to not be disappointed: Don't expect much
I expected a good explorative space sim

So yea I'm more than happy
But yea I feel like it'd be a bit difficult to avoid a bit of a cartoony feel when drawing an alien landscape so all things considered I think you did great
