"And again, when they thought upon their brethren, of their sinful and polluted state, they were filled with pain and anguish for the welfare of their souls." Mosiah 25:11 The Book of Mormon
I wish I could hate you... It wouldn't hurt if I did.
Moth, looking much more aged, realistic, and depressed than usual. It's been a long time since I've drawn anything in this style. Loose, scribbly, and purely emotive. I remember now why I liked it so much.
It's rather difficult to portray anger and sadness in a single expression. I'd appreciate your thoughts on whether or not I acheived it.

the sadness reads quite well but the anger does not. it is visible a little bit in the ridge of the forehead, but you realy have to look, exagerating this could help. you could posibly be able to show it a little better in the mouth, more of a teath gritting face, but i think your best off accentuating the ridge of the forehead. the linework is fantastic but i dont read anger or sadness in the markmaking at all. there is an energy too it but there is no brutality to the energy to create anger. all the emotions you were looking to convey are there, the subtlety of the anger is probably a good thing. the linework is realy fantasitc though. keep up the good work.
well, here I can see a painful sadness (80%) and a little bit of anger (20%). It illustrates well the sentence: "I wish I could hate you... It wouldn't hurt if I did."
More pain than anger.
By the way this phrase is incredibly true and interesting, thanks for putting it there
