Here's the third concept in my line of 1920's inspired charcters. I've been working on this one for quite some time and ran a lot of designs before settling on the character.
Basically, he's you're typical grunt - the hulking henchman type who is always in charge of the dirty work. You know, things like breaking people's knees, collecting gambling debts and stuff like that.
Next two characters on the list are two Bonnie and Clyde inspired mobsters. I'm still picking out species for these two, so if anyone has ideas on what they'd like to see, just comment and let me know.

Glad that you find the character to be recognizable. You know, I just might draw some more sketches of this guy when I get started on a webcomic down the road. I've been mulling over an idea for a 1920's inspired comic for a while and these characters are preparation for that later on.
I haven't committed to the idea just yet, though. Gonna run it by some friends at work first to flesh things out.

Very cool character. He seems to fit the classic mold of big powerful and as smart as a box of cheerios. I always thought the 20s was a very interesting period in time so I would love to see your web comic when you get it started. I hope my comic can look half as good. Keep us posted.

This one is my favorite character so far, (that's on your FA page at lest). You have a real nack for a very animated style. The character is very good at reflecting who and what he is. Using a crocodile seems very fitting for a kinda of 'Muscle' mobster. The reptile in him make him a very ugly and kinda mean looking. Even though he's very clean with dress clothes, a hat and a tie.. (the Tie I just love, Considering it's show short on a very big guy XD really makes me laugh) HIs facial expression are that you would think to see from some sort of Mobster. HIs whole frame ans proportion, (short, large body, large shoulders and tiny legs) make him quite nicely exaggerated to make him fun to look at.
I have only 2 pieces of criticism.
1. I love the texture you put on his tail, but I would probably like to see it everywhere, or if you want this character to be animated, I would leave it out.
2. The bat that you have him wearing on his back, he needs a harness or something to hold it like that. Anything really, the only thing i can think of is a bag kinda like a pool cue stick bag. donno. but either way it's just floating there otherwise.
Over all a really well done character. you seem to come up with some pretty interesting ones :)
