Standing four feet at the shoulder and stretching to an impressive eleven feet in length, male blood leopards are some of the largest felines in the world. Their flashier colouration and almost distended musculature serves a single purpose - to intimidate other predators. While the females hunt, the male stays back to defend the territory from other blood leopards, wolves, bears and cougars. Generally a single roar suffices.
