Some Duck, or Goose, decided that it was perfectly fine to lay a batch of eggs out in the open, in a park, crowded with people.
I'm really happy how the picture turned out, love the angle, just dissapointed I don't have a fancy camera to do it with.

So, nest here, later on in that day a little girl came and threw ALL of the nesting into the lake, apparently she thought it was dirt or something, leaving the lil eggs out on the cold earth, exposed. Well, I knew for sure the eggs were doomed, from being out in the open for predators, as well as little children / pissed off teenagers to destroy.
I now have 3 eggs at home, trying to keep them warm, but I'm going to give them a 30% hatch chance. It's a better chance than being left out there.
I rotate them 3 - 5 times a day, since I looked up the general care for duck/goose eggs. I'm having trouble keeping them warm though, I dont have an incubator so I keep them in a box wrapped up in a towel.
Well, I figure their chances are better off with me trying than some little girl about to throw them in a lake.
Iiiiif, they hatch, I'll be posting hatchling pictures on here, won't find out till April 10thish.
