Part 2 of this comic has
kyteriah making quick work of my tasty rat, Rodent, with a single chomp of his tooty jaws. Satisfied with his easy catch of some breakfast, Kyteriah settles back to relax while digesting his meal. Of course, the skies are not always the safest place to relax, as Kyteriah is soon to discover, when a rather massive pelican swoops in to get a snack of his own.
We'll leave it to the viewers imaginations as to whether or not Kyteriah is able to figure a way out of his predicament, or if he'll suffer the same fate as the unfortunate Rodent, in becoming a morning snack. :)

heh. Yeah, I pondered for a while what that final predator should be, and I thought a huge pelican would be awesome in both its look and the unexpectedness. :)
Of course, that's not to say it wouldn't be really awesome if such large pelicans actually existed. I'm sure your bobcat-eating lizard would find an encounter with one to be rather challenging. :D

*smiles and nods* Exactly. After all, how could anyone be so mean as to just gobble up a cute rat like that? Not that this will help the rat any, but at least his relatives will know the predator didn't get away with it.
Of course, given the size of that pelican, he might have take then rat on his own, if not for the dragon. :)

*smiles* Thanks, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. The idea for the encounter with Kyteriah came about when I was just casually chatting with him. Adding in the pelican came about when I was talking with Goregoat about the pic, as I thought it would be too much fun to not have Kyteriah get away with it that easily. Plus, he's one hell of a fun dragon and I knew he could handle the teasing. :)
*laughs* You know, that would make a delightful follow-up picture; seeing Kyt relaxing on the ground with a bloated belly, licking his fingers as the bones of a large roasted pelican are scattered around him. The only downside would be that Rodent would then be a forgotten appetizer, rather than a tasty, after-dinner mint (perhaps even chocolate-coated). :)
