So yesterday I apologised to Wingedwolf about how slow I've been with my half of our trade...I admitted that I had it sketched but couldn't bring myself to ink it. Afterwards, that bothered me something FIERCE, and I wanted to know WHY. After much thought, I realized that his wings intimidated me. I really SUCK at wings, and even with photo refs of crows and ravens, I felt like I couldn't get it right, and I hate inking stuff that feels "wrong" to me.
So...last night, when my faithful companion insomnia took hold, I got up the guts to tackle those wings one more time, inked it, and (since I barely slept last night) then gave it colour. I made the colouring a bit of an experiment in simplified/stylized shading...I'm really pleased with how his face and paws turned out. Those wings aren't great, but I don't loathe them so I count it a success.
Wingedwolf? I'm not sure this is what you wanted me to draw...and I'm sorry if I botched the colours...but I do hope you like it.

Wow. This is really fantastic... I love it :D I think that the wings are wonderful, they look fantastic, and you got all my markings spot on :D I love my eyes, theres something really deep about them, and Brans expression is so fitting to his character. I'm really really happy with this. Tis inspired me to not be a bum and traditionally colour your half... if I ever find the original >.< If not I'd sketch you up another in the meantime.
