City Feathers: LET GO! (Rio 2016)
"Let loose, and do your best!!! Go Pinas!!!"
Aaaaand, it's finally over, leaving us with thousands of memories around the world.
I drew this piece days after the Summer Olympics have started. And I based the sports used by characters in this drawing to the sports which our Philippine team joined.
Jay - Played as Miguel Tabuena, a golf player. Sadly, he didn't succeed to earn a medal by rank 32. But we are still proud of it^v^
Ria - Played as Ian Lariba, a table tennis athlete, and she was the first Filipino athlete to appear at the Rio Olympic game in our TV station. Sadly, she didn't succeed too.
Zandro - Played as Nestor Colonia, a weightlifter. He didn't made it too, but our another weightlifter, Hidilyn Diaz, a female weightlifter, earned a silver medal for our country.
Romeo - Played as either Charly Suarez or Roger Ladon, Filipino boxers. They both didn't make to earn a medal.
But... Even some of our proudly Olympians didn't make it, we are still proud because they made to compete to Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics, and that's a great milestone.
Goodbye Rio and see you in Tokyo 2020^v^

This is impressive! I absolutely love this artwork! Yay for Olympic-themed images! I'm glad Jay and Ria and all of their friends got the chance to compete at the Rio Summer Olympics this year! I love the action of the characters and the dynamic motions of this picture. The birds looked like they had so much fun competing at Rio. I hope they won gold medals for Team Philippines!
