i kinda felt that way at first, but like, it makes sense? she spent MONTHS at the bottom of the ocean trying to control jasper in what was basically an abusive relationship (which, rebecca sugar actually wanted to portay based off her own experience being abused)

which, i actually relate to lapis a lot because of it, it's a good representation of what happens when you're abused
