Modelsheet: Male Snow Hyena
Partly for Fades, partly because I like doing model sheets -- pinning down details on what makes a Snow Hyena different from other hyenas. I make this boy a little chunkier than Crispin (Fades' character) as from his written description Crispin is young and in general arctic forms of an animal tend to be heftier.

Could be..... although only the Spotted Hyena is known for forming large groups and their laugh is part of their social language... I think Snow Hyenas may form small clan units, more like wolf packs than Spotted Hyenas, so they may well 'laugh' as a communication method.

If I was commissioning something like this five years ago, the only thing I'd possibly have changed was some extra shag around the feet, not because it makes sense but I like the clydesdale look a lot :) So cute! I'm very glad I stumbled across this!
