Coming on the heels of my first commission in AC's artist Alley comes this piece for
RebelSqurl in a sketchbook whose theme is Nose Art.
Didn't take me long to think of something for this one. Shock-and-awe-inducing ordinance delivered with style (and a short dress). I bring to the fore Tatiana to do the honors, along with her two friends "Bunker Buster" and "Grounder Pounder" as they go "Bringing Death From Above" (hence the title).
Note that I didn't intend to reference any real-world bombs, instead I personalized some generic WWII-looking kaboom-makers. I could almost imagine this mapped across the nose of an actual bomber (had I thought to draw one). Only thing I'd change is her shoes--to a high-heel style more likely to be seen on period nose art. Other than that, bombs away! (oh, and paging
rabbi-tom)
Pencil on sketchbook paper, scan cleaned up using Micrografx Picture Publisher 10. Single-layer image, 8MB bitmap.
