I think, red works better than black for the trims. (Tbh, I tried to make it colorful in Photoshop to check) And traditional red blush on cheeks :3

I don't have skill to make those "fobidden" colors for tinted gold to work properly. It usually made by dithering, I think, layers +airbrush tool, because I saw that done by some artists. Dont recall who, miles-df comes to my mind

They use veery fine red, so it's baaaarely visible pink under eyes. Outright red appears only on theatrical masks or makeup, yeah. I saw wariants with pink around eyes, but that strikes strange for me. And pink blush or no blush depends on face shape, on supposed age. Blush - younger age, I think, or at least it appears so, mixed with more rounded face. I thought thats traditional.

No not that. I'm fine with the "blush." I mean that red tapes didn't seem traditional.

Of that I'm not sure myself. If traditional formal colors, there were restriction both on kimono, obi and obijime (not present here) in colors and make ^.^;
