So far, so good! ^_^
Next up are the ears, puffing out the cheeks and adding furred 'horns' X'D
My only hitch up is that the lines y'all see there? I've bought bakable sculptey clay-- what I want to do is; mold the clay to those shapes.
The ridge on the beak is currently markered foam.
I'm planning on putting a light layer of tin foil over that like ya do for clay sculptures after the wire framework.
My 'framework' here is the foam in this case.
I'm a 'first-timer' aka beginner in baking sculptey clay or any sculptey clay for that matter. But I've got experience in clay/pottery. ^_^;
So I ain't worried on that part... It's the _baking_ time I'm worried bout. ¬¬; >_>;
It says to 'bake 15 minutes for every 1/4 in of thickness. Do Not Microwave (duh lol). Do Not Overbake.
It's the latter I'm fretting over. ><;
Any help will be greatly appreciated! ^_^

Awesome, thanks for your help! ^_^
I'm thinking something like this may be in the ball-park? https://www.etsy.com/listing/237180.....c-sculpt-craft
What's cool is that this is the 2nd recommendation for self-drying epoxy clay or epoxy in general. ^_^
I've been a bit hesitant to spend the $$ cuz I had just bought the super sculpey baking clay X_X lol!
But it is what it is! ;)

I would hate for you to be in the middle of it and not have enough, if you have to much you could always make claws or something with the excess sculpt. Having too little is no good at all.
Also definitely wear gloves with this stuff, its pretty sticky while mixing and not fun time on fingers
Welcome!
I really like the beak detail, had to find a better pic just to admire. :)

I really appreciate all the advice too! *hugs*
Good tip on the gloves, thanks! =3 Knowing me, I would've done so w/o them X'D
Playing with clay can be so much fun... soft, pudgy, moldy fun lol!
I'm quite flattered that you like the beak design! I was wanting a tropical spin but not be too toucan-like ^_^
I'll have to put another close up like this one... but for now I've a multiple pic w/ the current status. ;)
Thanks much for everything, Rhee! :D

Yeah its sort of unpleasant to work with after you mix it for about 30 minutes or so, really sticky gets all over things so use wax paper or newspaper over the table because once it hardens it won't be going away any time soon. I've used it to repair mechanical parts in my father's boat.
Welcome! I'll be watching the progress of this!
