They are fun! You can't get them in Australia??

The boxes are a little hard to find here in Adelaide. Melbourne has a greater supply and its easier to get them online, just limed choices. Mostly its because we don't do bento lunches. There isn't much call for them here as lunches tend to be simple sandwiches in a lunch box. Not many people bother to go to the trouble of doing a proper packed meal. Bento boxes just seem nicer and a hell of a lot more fun than lunch boxes. *hugs*

my youngster has a set of boxes that stack three high and comes with a compartment for utensils and they clip together. Got them online about four or five years ago. I used to hand carve flowers and stuff but Vic has moved away and is 25 now, still likes to pop home every so often for mums cooking though and I freeze meals for later to be taken home by the not so little monster. lol. I got a phone call the other day from Vic and going on about cooking fish for the first time. Nice to know the first times don't end when they leave home...made me smile.

I still go to my mom for advice on about almost everything! ( though this last pregnancy and losing the baby was really really hard on her, so I'm waiting to tell her about this time around)
She'll never stop being your little girl, and there is another, really amazing bond that forms once we get older. I am glad you two have that bond. And you making those bento boxes for her sounds so precious.

Well Vic isn't using the title of a girl any more nor a boy but we still get on hence calling Vic my offspring and similar. And Vic will always be my little girl regardless of adult choices. I think we do have a bond that is really amazing. We used to make the boxes together mind you it wasn't Vic was a teen that we started. No I don't know the book "Someday"
