I'd been reading through the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (after much prodding from a certain red dragon) when I started this and a few other pictures, as it really got me inspired to work on art again after I'd been stressed out from various things. As far as dragon related literature, it's probably the most relate-able that I've ever read.

So here are  Mandarax and myself in harness. (I think his ground crew will have a long night of buffing ahead of them)
