Something made a few months ago for the Pokemon group I help run on deviantart. Was pretty surprised that it came out well, I almost never draw landscapes.
Everything about the land of Ywaru says "beware". It is an arid, rocky region where the most plentiful vegetation are tough shrubs, cacti, and thorns, some of which are highly poisonous to the touch. While the daytime is scorching hot, during the night it's bone-chillingly frigid.
Despite these harsh living conditions, scattered settlements exist in Ywaru, and the inhabitants are just as tough as the environment they reside in. Not surprisingly, outlaws are plentiful in Ywaru, though there are kinder people who specialize in creating antidotes and helping others in various ways.
