Unfortunately during the river expedition we were attacked by a roving band of vicious pine trees and their pet boulders. Most of us were able to escape un-harmed but Johnny, Jimmy and their canoe weren't so lucky....... Well that or we discovered this busted up boat during our trip..... I can never remember which.

hahah I've been there. Class 4 rapids in open canoes? check. Had to be rescued? check. Almost died? double check. Ah, camping with dad... I think we lost two out of 5 canoes that trip.
That was with Indian Guides, a long defunct YMCA group that was like Boy Scouts but with minimal supervision and much more drinking.

Hmm I never really did any long canoe trips when I was in Scouts.... Now freezing my spotted rump off as we camped out in igloos and lean-to's in the winter time...... Yup did that...... As far as adventuring and drinking.... I did the adventuring.... while my dad consumed cold and carbonated adult beverages.
