Suggestions for improving your success:
Get a little wooden mankin at an art store and practice drawing it. It will help you with connecting heads and torsos.

Also, break the body down into basic shapes, that can help. If you want a tutorial on that, let me know, I'll do one.

Draw yourself in the mirror, full length, look at people around you, doodle them. Doodle everywhere.

as much as this helps other people after years of art in school and using that wooden doll..it was never helpful only hurtful as I only ended up drawing wooden men ...there was no flow to those wooden shapes and if there were I couldn't find it...Watching others draw helps me see technique ...and that is more for understanding ...how lines go together.....I think there is a process to the line...and that little doll does nothing to help me understand human flow and animal characteristics...I'm working on it myself with countless study tools ..I appreciate your comment as a teacher...but I am under the mind that Art isn't taught...it's felt....it is ....art is whatever you want it to be ...even a stick figure is at it's base ..art...so I will continue to do what I do best...continue to draw and improve as I go...it's within me to do the work I shouldn't need tools to make me Think differently I have the power to do it myself
