A new critter of our's, they actually have a bit of an involved backstory to 'em, so buckle in kids, it's storytime!
SO! Kulkhet here is just one of a whole civilization. Now, they started off as just a lone symbiote, one of Luca's subordinates, who got spaced during an attack while Luca was traveling through space to further her corruptive spread. Said symbiote crash-landed into a fairly lush jungle world, and to survive the drop, consumed its host whole. Left stranded, it struggled however it had to to survive, steadily budding out into more and more symbiotes. As centuries passed, they evolved, having resorted to eating to survive, merging organic material directly into their nanite mesh, developing a proper neural structure...
The process was not entirely the gentlest, however, and several of their memories got scrambled, or lost, or otherwise distorted, to the point that, from what little they had left, they honestly believed they were children of the Egyptian pantheon, and hence blessed with some divine gift of Set, as an explanation for their exceptional shape-shifting abilities. Likewise, they think they have divine mandate, a -right- to share this gift. They're close to divine, it'd be seen as a most gracious gift to grant to others, and those that refuse are simply too blinded to see why they should be thankful!
Kulkhet here being a priestess of this Cult of Set, and herself a rather haughty, self-righteous type, more than a little vain. But she sincerely, honestly believes that spreading this gift is some sort of exceptional kindness; indeed, that it is the most righteous thing she could do. She does, likewise, cherish those who have undergone it, treating her subjects like cherished, valued pets to love and care for.
