In the phoenix lands of Adleria, the merchant princes are some of the more modest in fashion compared to their fellow phoenix types of Adlerians. In their eyes, the merchant princes find that by selling their wares and having the general population wear and use their products is a way to show off. As such, the need to personally show off by wearing high finery would be redundant. Even so, their modesty is still considereably well dressed when compared to the average Adlerian.
The typical merchant prince of the phoenix lands of Adleria are stylized mainly after european retro styles. The makeup they wear is fashioned after Egyptian styles for, of the different phoenixes that the phoenix types can relate to, the merchant princes have a common ancestry with the ones from ancient Egyptian history. Though all phoenix types have a stron relation to the phoenix god, it is by through the various children of the phoenix god that they are related. The immediate children of the phoenix god are the many and various types of phoenixes that can be found around the world. The Adlerian phoenix type are the strongest relation to the different types of phoenix men that descended from the children of the phoenix god.
Every Adlerian can trace their ancestry to the first true Adlerian, a culmination of twelve avian gods into one humanoid eagle. Sine that original Adlerian, twelve sub types of Adlerians came into being with each bearing a strong resemblance to the gods they have the strongest relation. And from that point, more subsets came into being amongst said types, with some having more than the other. There are a decent number of phoenix from around the world, but the majority found in the lands of the phoenix lords of Adleria are the far east, the near east and the Egyptian type of phoenix. The Egyptian branch tend toward the mercantile business due to tradtions as being merchants for thousands of years in ancient Egypt.

It is in their nature and their religion that they have sex often. It is, to them, the way of nature and the nature of their pheonix god. To say they are libertine, albeit heavily sex based, also implies a stance against religion which, in this case, is not true. Their local variety of religion is similar to that of a variety of other religious cults put together.
In short, their religion is the combination of the Chinese cult of Jiutian Xuannü ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiutian_Xuann%C3%BC ), the Egyptian gods Bes, Hathor, Bastet and Min, and the Greek gods Pan, Aphrodite and the group known as the Erotes ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erotes ) all put together. I do this since the majority of the phoenix types represented in the land of the phoenix lords of Adleria are from the lands typicall associated with ancient China, Egypt and Greece. Ancient Phoenicia and Hindu phoenixes are also common, but not as much, and their local Adlerian religous cults represent some aspect of the Canaanite and Hindu gods and goddesses of love and sexuality respectfully.
