This is well done. That the fox's shadow is going in a different direction than the silhouettes' is an interesting detail. It seems to create a sense of dislocation, that he isn't really there and doesn't belong.

I felt that way for a while when I was living among the Utah Mormons. Than I came to a realization, anyone who is too bind sighted to recognize who you really are are not worth my time.

You indeed nicely captured the emotion. In fact it makes me want to give him a big hug.

Aside what is obvious to be said about you wanting my bankruptcy this year, what troubles me is the "Me, always." mention you made on Twitter about this work. A bit surprising or exaggerated I hope as amongst artists you seem to have a fairly successful career, at least judging (as an outsider) from the works you mention in the media. But with the time passing, I guess it's a common trait amongst artists.
On a side note, that made two Peter Gabriel songs come back to my mind as a conflicting mix/collision/fusion: "Big Time" and "Don't give up", two sides of the same coin maybe. We all want to make it but we all take a hard fall at times. Hopefully we still have the support or self stamina to carry on fighting.

... I'm sorry? :') I really just painted what came to my mind (although I thought about not painting some pieces because they might be a little too fucked up for anyone to like it *chuckles*).

Well ... it is surprising for most people, but I guess I'm a fairly good actor, so I can fake things like confidence easily. Exaggerated - I wonder ... I do have days when I'm feeling like I'm at least somewhat o.k-ish, but most of the time I still do struggle with this feeling, especially recently. Part of it probably is a rather ... difficult family situation and the troubles that came with it. I won't bore you with the details, though.
However, I am in fact rational enough to realize that most of the time it's just a feeling and that I need to calm down and take a proper look at things as objectively as I can. But venting at times helps, too. (Venting through art, for example.)

Sorry for blathering. Anyway, I guess I do have a somewhat successful career as I'm one of the few people who can do what they love for a living.
I'll listen to the songs you suggested, as I'm really curious. Thank you! :)

This is why I love art. So many ideas come from one picture. Is it how he sees the world. Is it really how small he is. Or is it somthing mental that he feels. Or is it consuming him?

Lots of emotion in these pieces lately. It definitely reflects how a lot of us feel in life, or fear how we'll feel even with planned improvements for the future.
