yeah the BRZ is nice, but the waiting list is long and the price tag high

I have the BRZ... It's fun, and I like it butttttttttt.... it's pretty gutless, honestly. Hindsight I would have gone for a WRX or a 370Z. :3

really? disappointing. my ride was relatively cheap, and has plenty of guts. 270hp turbo. and only 3500 lbs

Don't get me wrong, the BRZ has a ton of potential if you want to put the money and work into it, but stock from the factory it will never be thrilling. Mine (2014 Limited 6-Speed Manual) makes about 168-175 to the wheels (we only get 91octane in CA, boo!). It's VERY tempermental about temperature and humidity... Some nice cool mornings it feels very peppy and responsive, then at 3pm when it's hot and dry it feels like it lost all of its torque. The car weighs about 2800 with a tank of gas, and throws into corners very well, but if you do a lot of normal public road driving like I do, it's nothing special. It definitely should have had a factory turbo, even 5-7psi would have been enough to make anyone happy.

All that aside, I like the car, and I plan to keep it for a while (I've had it over 2 years now, put 35,000 miles on it from new). I do like the 370Z however... I'd happily sacrifice some nimbleness in favor of raw power. ;3 Maybe someday!

yeah, then up here at 5800 to 7000 feet it would probably be dying for air...
