Okay, so maybe I am a little superstitious, but I decided that I needed some extra luck in this year and the New Year. So I got this adorable Maneki-Neko (Beckoning Cat) made of Me to try and improve My odds. These Japanese talismans are more commonly know as Lucky Cats or Money Cats, I wouldn't mind getting some of both. When the right paw is raised it is believed to bring good luck and wealth, and it is also more commonly found in homes. If the left arm is raised, it is usually found at a place of business. They are often shown holding a gold coin called a Koban, another symbol of wealth. The colors used for the cat also have a lot of significance.
White- good luck.
Black- good health.
Gold- monetary good fortune.
Blue- to bring academic success.
Pink- bringer of love.
Luckily, I have all of these colors in the picture. So hopefully My new Maneki-Neko will bring Me all of the above mentioned good fortune. I also wish everyone the same good luck in this and the coming year.
