Gem: Topaz (but could also be a dark citrine).
The main darkest part of their markings will always remain the same pattern (the dark plum on the tail and back/shoulders here, in this case), and their other markings vary from stripes, to spots, to runes and other things. Lighter coloured crystal monstercats are rare. Their crystals glow in the dark, and can actually be precious to semi-precious gems, and not just types of crystals. Crystal monstercats don't reproduce normally - when they shed their crystals, they bury them where they fall, and through nurturing, a crystal pod will grow from the ground that contains another young crystalcat - the other crystalcats must chip away at the crystal pod until the new crystalcat is strong enough to break free on its own through the thinned crystal. Their large paws are used for fighting, climbing, digging and for snuggles (because why not). They live in packs and are not solitary, in places called cairns, that often hold their 'family' history and the stories of their ancestry. They keep their hair side-cut and generally short. Their septums are pierced once they become an adult. They are nomads, roving from area to area in search of companionship and food. They are carnivores for the most part, though will sometimes eat vegetation - they are opportunistic feeders, like carrion crows.
There will be more on these lines!
$25 to Lark@cave--canem.com! I can't put much on THIS particular type of reference aside from the name, but you are free to request a transparent version of the crystalcat so that you can make your own reference as you see fit. Please note that I do generally delete the PSD file for these AFTER the customer has paid for them and requested their crystalcat - so if you want a transparent version, be sure to ask for it now!

Man, I would kill t work with these lines. If you ever plan to sell them hit me up?
In the meantime, you do customs with this as a base? Like I give you a gemstone and you have freedom on everything else. If so how much. I may be in the market next week for an adopt, and I'm really loving this.
