The Marcus Cole Class Destroyer was meant to be a faster, but less powerful version of the Victory Class Destroyer. With some hinting from General Susan Ivanova, President John Sheridan agreed to name the class after the late Marcus Cole, whom gave his life to save that of Ivanova years before during the Earth Civil War.
