Poetigress's Thursday Prompt.
I've always wanted to create a character like David Banner, from the old Incredible Hulk TV show. Someone forced by circumstances to wander the world. Originally created for the Telmazzar RPG, he's a bit hard to play, because I tend to slip into melodrama, without meaning to. Telmazzar, the Resfano, and the Spawn are all creations of
Artemispanthar and his brother. All were used with permission.

well done Serath
and I loved The Incredible Hulk with Bill Bixby. He brought a very wonderful personality to the role that I think would have been difficult, at best, for anyone else to replicate. I often wonder if he ever realized how much his portrayal of the character worked to inspire those that saw him?

I'm very glad you think so. Mario's really about half me, half Bill Bixby and a few other things. I used to get fustrated very easily and developed quite the temper when I was younger. As a result, I was pretty much a loner, and still am, to some extent, RL. My demonic goat-boy is a great way to channel all those old feelings into something worthwhile. As to your second question, I'd like to think so. A shelf full of awards simply can't compete with the knowlege that you have touched someone's life, even in some small way, and left it for the better.
I already told you how much I like this on IM but I believe it may bear repeating - I like this. I do get the Hulk vibe from Mario (although, admittedly, I don't know the Hulk too well. I've always been way more into DC than Marvel. But from little I knew, I picked up on so).
I like little...day-in-the-life sort of stories like this. You get the picture that this sort of thing happens everywhere Mario goes, which is both tragic and enlightening about the character.

If you get the vibe, and you barely know him, I must be doing something right. Mario isn't a straight up interpretation of him, though. Transformation into the Hulk was always triggered by extreme anger, or excruciating pain, and he's either Bruce, or the Hulk; there's no in between. Mario, on the other hand, because his body is gradually breaking down, over time, suffers from spontanious, partial transformations, all the time. One day, he won't be able to transform back, at all and he'll be permenently stuck in his demonic form.
Of course, by then, he'll have long since lost his mind.
