Sometimes, going off by one's self is a good thing: not to be alone or lonely; rather, to be reconnected to something you once thought lost, or something seen once by you, perhaps in a dream, yet never had the heart to chase after.
One whose life is defined by being joy to others has had a life well spent. He whose actions have led others to the Promised Land of their own joys and comforts has truly been his brother's keeper.

On the way
Through the forests in full bloom,
Through the shadows of time and distance past,
Through the hearts and homes of those I knew,
Through the light and laughter,
Through life,
I wander on the way.
For Him Whose happy company I seek,
For lofty ideals I seek to realise,
For the granting of some happy wish whose potentials have not yet come to pass,
For that special someone whose heart I seek to make my own,
I shall wander on the way.
In evening time,
I seek the sunsets and sounds of winding down.
I shall seek the cool gardens and private spaces
That while alone have never made me lonely.
I find refreshment in being bathed by yellow sunlight,
And where its home is, there is my home, too.
My dwelling place is with the silver moonlight,
Whose radiance lights the sky at night.
Wherefore shall you say
That lofty things are only Heaven sent
When we are here, and no time apart have spent?
Shall we join our hands and sing
The songs which those of old have sung?
Shall we as they once did
Make siblings of the Earth and Sun?
And, as we wander along at the pace set
By Him whose beating heart has fixed the Heavens’ stride,
Make of one another Brothers as we wander on the way?
One whose life is defined by being joy to others has had a life well spent. He whose actions have led others to the Promised Land of their own joys and comforts has truly been his brother's keeper.
