No matter your level of success in pampering your Pokémon, there is likely to be a point where the carefully spun web of praise, reassurance - and of course gluttony, will be challenged by the creatures natural instincts. Simply put, no matter the level of conditioning, there are certain things that will raise the alarm even in a calorie dulled mind, and you should expect your pokemon to express concern about it's inability to conduct activities that were once so easy - such as walk, or touch the floor.
It is at this point vital to not falter in your approach, many trainers are tempted to seize upon this point of helplessness to expand their entrapped mons potential most literally, but this lack of patience rarely pays off in the long run in the years of companionship to come. Reassure them that everything is fine, applying gentle palming rubs to their newfound girth, dig in deep, tracing with your fingers all the little folds that are now possible now that something so silly as moving is no longer an issue.
After all, who needs to walk when all the love they could ever need is but one step and a three course meal away?
