Lesharo Vallis is a powerful psionic for his species, belonging to a class of elite psychic individuals in the Galaxy called "Savants".

With the ability to subjugate the minds of others and project bolts of energy with a thought, savants are forces to be reckoned with.
The tradeoffs are many, however. Savants in particular have very little time for physical conditioning, and so are rather frail in combat.
Additionally, psionic individuals develop very severe and debilitating psychological conditions as they get older, and often go insane and inflict injury on others, even innocent people.

Lesharo is young, so he's got a while before he needs to worry about that though.
