Got Ditto his big cage :3
At petco he was kept in a small cage, even smaller than display, because he was up for adoption because he had been ill. When he came here, we kept him in a semi large tub while we waited for the cage to be delivered.
Now, he has this, and has probably never had so much leg room in his entire life. He was jumping around squealing and running laps between his little house and his food bowl, it was one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I didn't know they were so active, he was like, jumping a half foot up and tossing his head around xD
He seems a little overweight, so I think this leg room will do him a lot of good. He's probably never actually ran before, cuz now, after like, 3 minutes of being super hyper, he is thoroughly passed out lol
Also, we now have a cage to accompany two :3 He's pretty happy so far by himself, but we're gonna keep an eye out for another boar so he can have a buddy.
He's adjusted super nicely to our house really quickly. He lets us pick him up, knows when its feeding time and gets all excited, sits in our laps calmly when we take him out. He's an awesome pet and family member so far c:
Also look he like actually posed when I took out my phone instead of hiding like I thought he would :D

Well I asked Petco staff what they recommended and they basically said "anything" so I basically grabbed a random bag only to find out it had all the colorful bits and dried veggies (which he chokes on, might I add) so I've been feeding him that mix after spending two minutes picking everything but the pellets out of it.
I also give him most of a leaf of lettuce every morning, give him a leaf of basil every night, and we've given him small amounts of fruit every few days, and he specifically loves watermelon. The fruits we've given him are watermelon, strawberry, plum, and apple.

I'd recommend giving him fruits and veggies with lots of vitamin C. I give mine parsley and bell peppers as well as plain vitamin-enriched pellets, don't bother with the stuff with other things mixed in. Kale is good too, but my girls don't really eat it, maybe your little dude will!
We intend to :3 For right now we're seeing what he likes so we know what to get for treat-like items. I get the high vitamin C pellets cuz I read about the vitamin C thing. I'm prolly gonna get bell peppers for him and see if he likes those next.
I read that Kale isn't too great for them and is toxic if given to them regularly...maybe that's why your piggies don't eat it? lol
