Upon the realization that I've never drawn a porpoise, despite having drawn many other cetaceans. A spectacled porpoise. 'cause girls in glasses are hot.

I tend to draw my whales with the tail at the base of the backbone -- that is, right where the butt starts. So if she was sitting in a chair, it would hang out behind her.
Not everyone draws thick-tailed critters like I do, and I will admit anatomically it's probably not 100% correct, but...it's a whale with fingers. I'm allowed a little leeway ;)
