*sigh* This happens to me a lot when I minimise Secondlife, and when I return, I see this. Sometimes it's just the SL buttons, but it can also be bits of private conversations with friends.... and yes, other people can see them so it's not just client-side. Surely I'm not the only one this happens to?

Yeah Rebake does fix it, but don't blame your graphics card... I mean, the friends list and GUI are supposed to be client side, as far as I can tell... so how does it suddenly appear in world? If it was just on your computer, nobody in world could see it, but they can, so I think that proves the point that it's SL and not us users who are at fault.
I'm not particularly bothered by it, but it's possible that someone could be holding a sensitive conversation with someone, and then someone else turns up beside your avatar and reads something they shouldn't have seen.
so it's a bit of a privacy issue here.
