Settling disputes was always messy business, regardless of the real and otherwise grey legality of situations. If it wasn’t for the annoying tendency for law to lag behind the cutting edge there wouldn’t be this many problems to deal with. Or rather, at least, the things defined as problems would be clean cut to the best ability of applied language. He watched the plaintiff give their best passionate speech but Spark knew that it was all hallow pathos pandering, from content, tone and fabrication without a shred of substance, he had his work laid cleaning in front of him.

Feeling had their place in law, but some ‘Public interests’ are clearly unsubstantial.
