Oh yeah, I should type out my thoughts on all the new stuff.
ALOLAN EXEGGUTOR I said one time on twitter that the mark of a good Pokemon is how much people will shitpost about it. And I've got seen a Pokemon as shitpostable as this friggin thing. I'd be willing to say it's the most ridiculous Pokemon yet and I love it.
ALOLAN VULPIX/NINETALES I think needless to say adding onto a Pokemon I already love is gonna turn out to be one of the things I love the post on this list. And I think people that know me (and also the fact that y'know. I drew it here and felt the need to yell about it this morning) that ice-Vulpix is my favorite thing in this update. It's so cuddly and fluffy looking and Ninetales is looking as majestic as ever. Like I'd legit take this as an excuse to train them in my first run of the game pfff.
ALOLAN SANDSHREW/SANDSLASH These are really cool!! Sandslash especially. Ice and Steel is interesting but I'd be wary of it being quad-weak to both fire AND fighting. That'd be my one fear with ever using the thing, but otherwise I really like it!
OVERALL the idea of Pokemon having subspecies for the regions is an A+ idea! I'm sure it's one fans have been wanting for a while now. I'd just hope there's some way to get their normal selves ingame, because I think needless to say trading a Vulpix or Exeggutor in from the Gen 6 games would just be normal Vulpix and Exeggutor, but I'd wonder if those would be the ONLY way to get the normal versions of the Pokemon in the game or if there's areas in the game where you could get their normal forms.
ORICORIO A really neat idea for a bird Pokemon, I just dunno why I'm not feeling it as much. Baile and Sensu are my favorite, both in typings and looks. This feels like a Pokemon I should be more excited for but just aren't for some reason. Idk.
MINIOR Is an interesting rock type. You don't see Rock/Flying very often and it's set apart from Aerodactyl and Archen fairly well. I'd wonder if the core's colors do anything or if it's just aesthetic like the Flabebe line.
GUMSHOOS ...eh. Sorry to those that like it, but eh. I just don't have a lot to say about it.
FOMANTIS Ahhh it's super cute!!! :D If I weren't set on Rowlet I'd totally use one aaah. Maybe on a second run!
LURANTIS Now THIS IS ONE I LOVE!!!!!! I'll probably draw this one too at some point but aaah. *w* Easily my favorite new Pokemon!! I just wonder why it's not half Bug if it's supposed to be a mantis. Weird.
MUDBRAY It's kinda cute in the doofy sort of way. I certainly like it, but I'm one to prefer Mudsdale.
