For the last few years I've lived on Ontario Disability Support Program payments. At 65, in about three months, I switch to Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security/Guaranteed Annual Income. The three services should even add up to a larger monthly income than at present. I also live in an income-based rent property owned by the city, so my rent is not as high as the market price. Most people would regard my standard of living rather mean, but it's actually better than it was when I had to struggle for a living as a free lance artist.
When I started, there was almost none ... just the occasion illustration of Greek myth or a still from one of a small number of horror movies.
However, there's thousands and thousands of petrification illos now, and more added to the internet every day. Most of it is only photographic, however, with the colour removed from the subject. Big deal! A lesser but still huge amount is computer made. It serves the purpose better, but has a tendency to all look alike. The petrification art I like best is usually hand drawn and has a style not mistaken for anyone else's.

I know exactly what you mean. I follow a fair few "artists" in this area over on DeviantArt (which is actually where I found your stuff), yet most of them just slap a gold or grey filter over a photograph or some anime scene and call it a day. Moreover, none of them really explore the possibilities of petrification: if I had a dollar for every single "Medusa's garden" picture I've seen, I could probably afford to research actual petrification technology!
That's why I particularly like your stuff: it has variety, it's restrained and best of all, it's Furry/anthro.
