I had this discussion with someone else. They claimed that FurAffinity is just a porn site. I showed them all kinds of clean images and stated that I have never drawn any porn on my account. They said that I was just wasting my talents posting my clean artwork on a porn site and wrote an eassy about how I'm wrong and how FurAffinity actually encourages people to make pedophila porn. I've eventually learned that there is no arguing with him and I just nod my head and say "You're right"
Yeah. I mean, I have NO problem with porn. But everytime someone says it's just a porn site I'm like: "Er... it's supposed to be primarily a site for anthro art. When you allow porn, you're going to get a LOT of porn because sex sells. But there are plenty of us who have all different kinds of art, too!"
I got nothing against porn either, everyone needs some kinda release now and again. I just don't draw it as a personal thing.

Mmn, I have to say though, plenty of furries are exceptionally preoccupied with sex and tend to have different values from the average individual. I'd never encountered so many people cool with open relationships and that think nothing of having sex with casual friends until I became part of this fandom.

Oooh healthy preoccupation with sex is all well an' dandy, but in my experience I've seen more UNhealthy preoccupation with sex in this fandom than anywhere else! Obsession, introverted and abusive ways of dealing with sex in a relationship, outright blatant "let's treat sex like it's junk food" .... all creating some bad mentalities and I've seen it hurt some people...

Which is what a lot of people believe, and why we're "prosecuted" as furries to begin with. My bf is cool with it, though he mostly thinks it's mock worthy (and to some extent I agree) but he knows he can't say that around certain friends because they'd assume I'm some horse-fuckin' freak who draws animal porn all day...

There's that little bit in all of us that wants to scream that. It's just that some of us are a little more reserved and won't scream out their window into the internet that they want to see more Hyper Macro Herms in Diapers. Nothing wrong with wanting it, you just need to know when it's embarassing.

Actually this entire place is split in two ways, one for Adults and porn and the other for clean art and stuff. If people wanted porn, they can spend their time looking at the Adult sections of the special interests category. But if you have an account on FA and allow mature content, then people's assumption about it being a porn site is not really off on that.
