Studying for Finals (+story)
So, a while back I got a note from the lovely
asking if they could use my sona to go with their sona in a piece of work they were doing.

It was her junior year of HS and Iris was trying her best to keep her grades up. Iris was a young husky girl with an athletic build and loved to procrastinate! Despite her procrastination she was a B average student and it took a great deal of effort to keep this up. During her spare time she enjoyed playing various games either hand held, console or even a few different trading card games with other students. She hung with a few other students every now and then but she never really had someone to call a best friend. It was a spring day when she was just sitting under a tree enjoying a nice cool breeze and reading up on some new cards that were coming out for the latest MTG set, when she heard the school bell ring. She brushed off any dirt that might of rubbed off on her clothes and headed into her class. There were times when she would sit in class and anything that could be going on would just go in one ear and out the other. She would often day dream in class about becoming a championship gamer and just laughing as she would be unbeatable. But this was all just a dream for her, for now she would have to settle with being the best MTG player at school.
Her favorite colors to use were Red and Black, her best deck was built to either knock the opponent out before they could get any strong creatures out or just drain their life away one point at a time. This semester seemed to of gone by real quickly because before she knew it, finals were upon her! She dreaded finals week because this was when she had to put aside her procrastinating self and really tap into the scholarly potential she had deep down. She would stay up late often just to make sure she would be able to ace her final exams and be able to relax afterwards. Her preferred study method was none at all but when it came to finals she found she was able to focus after taking a long hot soak in her tub downing some cold raspberry ice tea and then cramming until she felt the books almost coming to life and literally hitting her. It was quick but spring semester turned into fall and with a quick breeze fall turned into winter and with that her junior year of HS was done! After winter break she came back to school and found out there was a new transfer student! Her name was Skye and she was very pretty, she had dark hair with a red streak in it, her fur was very unique and was white mostly with blue and pink streaks. Her eyes were very unique and were green and brown, her right ear was pierced with two rings and a stud while the other was left alone. She just had this aura about her that was very energetic and bubbly. She was assigned the seat next to Iris and was very quiet; Iris wanted to get to know her and was very excited but didn’t want to scare her away.
Iris greeted the new girl with a hello, “Hi, my name is Skye it’s nice to meet you” she said to Iris as Iris gave her a hug as a way of welcoming her into the class. A few weeks passed and the two became inseparable, they were the best of friends and if you didn’t know any better you could have sworn they were sisters. The months flew by and after numerous bizarre adventures with the pair, eventually summer vacation was over and fall and time for finals. UG! Iris moaned with a frustrated tone, she was at a table with Skye trying to study for their exams with a frustrated expression as she had a hand on her head. Out of all the subjects Iris and Skye had their exams on Math was Iris’s weakness. “Instead of looking at the problems as Math questions why not relate them to MTG situations and tackle the issues like you were playing me in a match” Skye said trying to inspire and help Iris. Iris looked up with the biggest puppy dog eyes she could have as if she were a character from one of her favorite anime series, THANK YOU! Iris said in a high pitched excited tone as she went from frustrated to focused with her new found inspiration. Now that she had the right mind set going she was blazing through the practice exam like it was on History. The next week was finals, and on Friday was Math for Iris and Skye. Skye finished her exam before Iris did and although Iris was taking a bit longer than any of the other students she wasn’t the last one to finish. Thank God that’s all done and over with Iris said with a breath of relief, she was walking out of school with Skye lost in her own thoughts when she tripped over a rock. OW! Iris exclaimed with a weird tone due to her biting her tongue when she fell, Skye helped her up and brought up the idea of the two of them going out to eat to celebrate being done with finals. After a few weeks the results for finals were distributed in a vanilla envelope for each student, Skye wound up with straight A’s while Iris slowly and nervously opened her envelope. Her grades were a mix of A’s and B’s and a C but her eyes lit up like a night sky on the 4th of July as she saw she wound up with an A for her math Final! She couldn’t believe she passed with an A she was so excited, she was so glad she had an awesome friend like Skye to help her get through everything. Iris went over to Skye’s for the night to relax and they both slept easy knowing the worst part of the semester was done and over with.
