Two Anthroids jogging in the sand by ZombiKiss

Another fantastic, magnificent piece of art done by the mighty and fearsome ZombiKiss artist extraordinaire, Mistress of the Tablet and Stylus interface. Emptier of wallets, devourer of cookies, honorary crystal gem and about a dozen other titles I can’t remember at the moment.
An all-round awesome artist lady that you should go and watch right now if you aren’t already doing so, and commission her while you’re there. You won’t regret it.
Here we can see Penelope the newest Synthetic flat member of a certain lucky university student’s house racing along the beach in a friendly competition with April the Jackal gynoid who was found and rebuilt by their new master before she was.
Penelope was a personal trainer unit designed by Terigen commercial Robotics to look like a fit and athletic Gazelle, toned and just muscular enough in the right places, her form a testament to the allure of a healthy and fit body. She was owned by Pantheon Fitness an exclusive and expensive private gym that used to be rather popular with the upper middle class to the rich elite of the city.
Unfortunately the original owner retired and left the gym in the hands of her son who while enthusiastic was not the savvy businesswomen his mother was. And as a result of extreme bad luck and several poor decisions on his part the business had to close down.
Penelope was boxed up with the rest of the equipment and placed in storage to be sold off later only to reactivate on route to the storage centre and following her preprogramed directives to return to the gym leapt from the back of the moving truck and tried to make her way back to the abandoned building that had once been her home.
When she arrived though she found the entrance locked, with no way to get in and no sign of her owner she could only curl up by the front door and wait for orders. She would have stayed there until she powered down if she wasn’t found by April a cybernetic Jackal women who was passing by while running an errand for her master.
The Jackal recognized Penelope as a gynoid like her and being the friendly and caring sort listened to Penelope’s story, and her desire for an owner to serve. She volunteered her master’s help, and told the Gazelle of his kindness towards her, that he could at the very least give her a place to recharge before her batteries ran out.
The young university student who owned April was a little surprised when she returned from her errand not with what he had sent her to get but a lonely and dishevelled looking homeless droid in need of some tender love and care instead.
He welcomed her into his home and took her to April’s room so she could recharge while he plugged her up to his equipment and ran a few diagnostics and scans to make sure her hardware and software were in good working order. When she woke up he led her to the bathroom and helped to clean her muddy form. She asked him all about April and he told her the story of how he found and rebuilt her as he cleaned.
Penelope was so touched by the story, by the idea of an organic who didn’t see anthroids as disposable pieces of technology to be thrown away or stored somewhere when they were no longer wanted or required, but as people to be looked after and cared for as equals the Gazelle glomped him to the tiled floor of the bathroom and begged him to let her stay, promising to serve him and be a good Bot for him if he’ll care for her the same way he did for April.
The young man could not bring himself to say no to this poor Gynoid who had obviously been on her own for far too long, and so he let her stay, updating her ownership data and welcoming her to the flat. Boy his flatmates would be surprised to learn he had somehow managed to acquire another stray.
