I'm sorry you are having trouble, but don't worry, it gets easier. I found it quite amazing how much you can do with so little information, and you get to learn what all those strange buttons on a scientific calculator do.

They really love to hide what the trigonometric functions really are... Secretly you are just scaling the unit circle, there is zero magic once you know what you are doing.
And the notation is really bad which does not help when you are already hiding the reasoning to your students.

I like math but hate algebra/trigonometry i remember going to school and around 4th grade it was so funny because our teacher was sick or something and he taught us to use the Latin method of multiplication i thought i was so smart drawing my rectangles and square until we had to gone the other class because she was missing and then a girl there help me with my math and should me the normal way and boy did i feel stupid i would spend forever drawing rectangles and squares to multiply and add them back under the messy triangle i drew she blew my mind i thought i was so freaking smart i even had corrected her teacher on his method of finding the median that day and was in composition with her when she asked me if i need help she already done i said no but she seen my paper and ask wtf are you doing i multiplying she said how and i show her she laughed so hard and i was so lost and got mad then she show me how she does it with the big fat A+ 100% on her paper and in was like AHHHH OK OHHHH!!! and i then show her i was so dumb because my answer from the Latin method was right to but really long to do. XD
