This badge was made as a gift for a friend whose generosity knows no bounds. I was moved to create this after he came to my rescue many months ago. I've been waiting to post this until he had it safely in his possession. This is by far the most detailed badge I have ever worked on, and the longest hours logged as well.

To start, all of the Planeswalker mechanics listed on the card are not only similar to legal game effects found on real cards, but they fit his character to a T.

They are: +5 - Add 5 in any combination of R or U mana to your mana pool.
- 3 - Select up to 3 target creatures your opponents control. Change their creature type to a type of your choice.
-7 You get an emblem with "At the beginning of your upkeep, if you have less than seven cards in hand, draw the difference."

Next, the layout of the cards was referenced from my own collection of Planeswalkers. I wanted to be sure I got everything right, from the frames and borders down to the shape of the loyalty emblems.

Finally the whole thing is mounted onto a real, oversized Commander foil card for added support (and an actual card back).


I had an absolute blast making this. I'd love to open for commissions of these for folks but they'd probably run a but higher than my typical badge, perhaps $40 or so, because of the amount of detail plus the real card backing.
