Chewing on ice, sounds like a perfect thing to do in this summer heat... andyeah, it gets warm even in sweden...

Oh, I know! I've been there when there was a nasty heatwave. Funny thing is it was 35C in Stockholm and I took the train north. I got out at Umeå at 5AM and it was a handful of degrees and raining. It warmed up later in the day even there, but it was an exciting temperature shock, that's for sure!

Actually, most times I've been in Sweden it was warm. Maybe that's just a courtesy. :D

Yeah, the thing about Sweden is that it's fairly long, and runs from north to south (well, north and slightly less north...) so you get quite a lot of climate variation in what's still a relatively small country. What I find hardest about changing altitude is the rhythm of the day-light cycle. Again, there's quite a lot of variation with altitude and season and it very easily triggers my insomnia. If you have a bad sleep cycle during winter in Umeå, you just plain don't see the sun ever until you get back on track, it's a vampire paradise...

Well, I have to say I get into those cycles quite easily. I'm far enough up north to not see the sun for weeks at a time. :D Not right now though; now it disturbs me when I go to bed 'n it's still there when I wake. Be wary of those vampires, though...

Yeah, im not quite far enough north to get midnight sun/polar night, but when the sun is up for maybe 3-4 hours and those happen while you're napping, you don't get much sun anyhow.
