My friend
LaurenRivers has been writing a story called Exodus Rising which features my Triceratops self as second in command to a dinosaur troop (with Loren the Triceratops as the commander). You can see all of the art and parts for the story here: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....Exodus-Rising/
In the story, the dinosaurs were bred to be soldiers for one nation which after its epic defeat, hid the remaining dinosaurs in statis until the time was right. That time has come, but for a curious Captain who rescued four of the dinosaurs before the nation was able to claim them. Now Loren, Matthias, and their friends are on the run with no idea where to turn.
In this picture, my character on the left pilots the spaceship and discusses what it is capable of while Loren listens and ponders their next move.
Thank you for making me a part of this, Lauren!

TheTiedTigress did a fantastic job with this! The uniforms are really cool.
Good looking picture. This actually reminds me of the old point and click Sierra games my brother used to play like Inherit the Earth. But in this case Space Quest comes to mind.. Lauren's character would be the guy you play as and you'd walk onto the screen and you'd be given the option to ask the Triceratops pilot questions. He would turn and grumble and say something like "what do you want? Can't you see I'm busy!" Then a series of options would come up for things your character to say.
"How did a Triceratops like you wind up in Star Fleet?"
"What can you tell me about your home planet?"
"Do you like your job as a pilot?"
And then of course depending on which you choose you may get the option to say "Tell me more about such-and-such." The character may end up even liking you and then give you a small item that will be crucial in beating the game later.

LOL! Very nice! I used to love playing those games; I cut my incisors on those games as kid! I fondly remember Space Quest and King's Quest and played all of the games they released (I didn't beat them all but I did play them). And yes, I can see this scene exactly as you describe it here.
Thanks for sharing that wonderful comparison.

I love the uniforms. I'm always so bad at picturing clothes so I often have to rely on my artists to come up with what my characters are wearing. ;) I can invent awesome things for them to do, but I usually need help to figure out what they're wearing while they're doing it. :)
Somehow the idea of dinosaurs in space just seemed to really work for this. In retrospect I'm glad it worked out this way because I can pretty much do what I want and see where the universe takes me. :)
We'll definitely have to do this again from time to time, to expand the universe. :)

I'm usually pretty plain when it comes to describing clothes. I can imagine some costuming but not much. Most of the outfits my characters wear are outfits designed by the artists!
Dinosaurs just make things more awesome by being there and especially by being the stars.
I do hope we can!

Me too. :)
That they do, with rare exceptions I've come to enjoy a lot of species that never used to interest me, I guess it just takes the right inspiration. :) I am really enjoying the dinosaur/scifi mix. ;) Provides a great reason for my brain to integrate anthros and dinos. :)
