So, I do a comic for the paper at my high school. This was the first comic I drew for the series. Despite it being staffed entirely by high schoolers, I made this comic for the paper when I was in seventh grade (middle school). Apparently, in the many decades our school paper had been running, I was the first student to consider making a comic for it. Obviously, I loved doing it, because I'm still doing it to this day, and I start tenth grade this August.
Now, I'm going to try to give a bit of a commentary on each one of these comics, so here goes. The fox in this comic was the first character I ever created, back when I was 8 or 9. So there's that.
Now, about our school paper. The staff is essentially just the whole senior class, and during my sixth grade year, the staff was too lazy to put out any papers the whole year. So when seventh grade rolled around and there were suddenly papers coming out, I decided to take advantage of it. So, one day in class, I drew this comic, and then I later gave it to someone who knew someone on the newspaper staff. And behold, they put it in! However, the staff that year didn't fare much better than last year's in terms of laziness. They only put out two more newspapers for the rest of the school year: April and May, I think. So, while I kept drawing comics for most of the school year, I was actually able to improve my skills, but no one could read my comics. Looking back at some of these, though, that might've been for the better. In eighth grade, I continued to improve my comics, especially when it came to perfecting my drawing style.
But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Enjoy the first comic in the AT WIT'S END series.
