While the mage Arda, who created the Amber Lion figurines, liked her sex golems feral, some of the others who used her research weren't so limited. Thus we eventually got female Amber Lions and even an anthro one or two. The result is something almost indistinguishable from an Amber Khardaki Lion man.

These guys are more intelligent than the feral ones and, apparently, kinkier. Though Amber Lions in general are into whatever their owner wants to be into.
