Thanks! Yeah, As for the black I sorta figured it out on accident. I was trying to smooth the background out in photoshop instead of wasting a ton of ink, and when I got to a certain point I figured I could use the actual ink as a bit of a shadowed body outline and tried to shape it accordingly.
