Please excuse the CRAPTASTIC scan, it really looks a tonne better in your hands, I swear. I used about a dozen different shades of green/blue/yellow on his body, and almost ALL of my beautiful and subtle highlights and shading got brutally slaughtered in the scanner. GRRR.
Anyways.
When I saw that I was to draw Anbidian Raasikh for this month's equine exchange, I dropped everything to work on it. I can't tell you how good this made me feel...I'm still reeling from my trip, our 'fridge died and today we had to go out. Walking. A couple miles. IN THE RAIN. So it felt really good to make this. Why? Because I got to use a bunch of colours I don't usually get to work with. Heck, several of the green, yellow and orange pencils had never even been sharpened! It was like Christmas, getting to sharpen 'em and use 'em for the first time ever.
I will admit I was so thrilled about his colour scheme that I sorta took some major artistic license with him...I feel kinda bad about it, but...I'm just so head over heels for the final product I can't really say I regret it. Also, this month I think there was supposed to be an autum/fall theme, buuuut...not too many oaks or pumpkins under the water, eh? XD
Goddamnit, I wish my scanner hadn't hacked it all to bits. :P
